Menswear Summer Styles for your WV Weddings
When we think about wedding day fashions, our thoughts immediately go to what the bride is going to wear… what she’ll look like coming the aisle…. And how fabulous she looked on her wedding day! But what about the groom? After all, it’s his wedding day too! And while he shouldn’t upstage the bride, he should look his absolute best on his wedding day.
With so many wedding trends out there, it’s easy for your groom to be, to stand out with jaw dropping attire. Just like a bride puts her personality and style into her wedding gown, the man of the hour should do exactly the same. This summer, help your #mancrusheveryday fiancé show his style and look dapper with these 2018 Summer Menswear Trends.
Patterns, Textures, and Colors... Oh My!
If you’re willing to look past tradition and be willing to break the mold, start with your suit jacket. Instead of the traditional navy or black, add color or texture to your style. In the summer time, lighter colors, such as pale blue, grey, or pink are great compliments to soft and romantic color schemes. Not into the paler tones, then make a statement and stand out with bold colors, patterns and prints.
Patterns make a fun statement so think about prints in checkers, hounds tooth, or yes, even floral printed suit jackets. These out of the box trends are a great way to stand out with style when you say “I Do”.

Vibrant Hues of Blues to Say "I Do"
For so many years we’ve seen navy or black suits have been the classic and elegant go-to move for grooms. This year, we’re seeing grooms play on blue hues with younger, brighter colors. Trends of cobalt blue and royal blue will be a leading trend this summer. For a romantic color palette, pair royal suits with champagne or cream rose gown for a stunning and picturesque scene. Not sure if a “full colored” royal blue suit is for you, mix it up a little for a completely different look. Black pants paired with a bold colored jacket or a bright jacket paired with a complimenting colored vest is another great way to make a statement.

Mix & Match Grooms & Groomsmen Attire
For years we’ve seen bridesmaids wear mix matched dresses that fit their body type and style. Instead of having the groom and his groomsmen dress exactly the same, add a little variation. Select two diffident color pallets for the groomsmen to choose from, or have them buy their own suit in the shame shade to add variation to your menswear. Another way to mix and match menswear to is purchase the same shirt and jacket for all of the groomsmen, but give them the freedom to style their ties, pants, socks, and shoes on their own. This idea a little too out of the box? Mix and match ties with one similar shade in each tie to make a unique look.

Stand Out With Bold Ties at Your Wedding
A tie can completely transform the look of a suit. Majority of grooms are going beyond the traditional simple tie, and incorporating ties with fun prints and patterns. Regardless if they are wearing a bow tie or a neck tie, grooms can definitely let their personality shine with their style. Play up a simple tan or gray suit with floral print or a splash of color in the ties. Getting creative with the tie allows a groom and his groomsmen to still honor traditions with neutral color suit, but show that they are dapper and stylish at the same time with an out of the box printed tie.

No matter what style you choose for your wedding day, be sure to include your groom to be in the decision for the menswear. With so many decisions to make for your perfect wedding, majority of grooms take a back seat to the planning while you, the bride, forges ahead. And while he may not be enthused about picking prints for your linens, he will want to pick out prints for his wedding day attire. Allow his personality to shine. Let him be bold. But most importantly, let him have fun!
