I can remember as a young girl being so excited to watch the Oscars, the Grammy’s, the Academy Awards, or ANY awards show just to see the beautiful gowns on the red carpet! Now that I’m adult and grown… well, who am I kidding! I STILL watch the award shows to see who wore what and what’s the latest fashion in Hollywood! (I know I can’t be the only one… don’t judge me!) You know what I absolutely loved about the Oscars this year? There were so many beautiful white gowns that it looked like Bridal Fashion Week made a reappearance! Seriously, these gowns were drool worthy! And what was so amazing is that many (if not the majority) of these red carpet gowns would look incredible on a bride as she was walking down the aisle to stand beside her fiancé! So let me share with you my top 10 Oscar Inspired Attired that are wedding worthy! Hunty, let me tell you!!! Jane Fonda SLAYED in this custom Balmain gown! There is literally nothing that I could say that would even hold a penny as to how gorgeous this gown is on her! This gown is pure elegance and would look amazing on a bride who is getting married on New Year's Eve or is having her nuptials on Valentine's Day. Why? For one the weather is unpredictable and it will probably be a bit chilly, but you'll still want those gorgeous outdoor photos. Making a few adjustments and alterations to change the gown to strapless with a Bolero long sleeve jacket would be perfect for your wedding day attire! Anyone who knows me, knows that soft pink and blush colors are my favorite! If I could paint the walls in my house that color I would, but my husband would kill me so I digress! But Danai Guriri in Gabriela Hearst's gown is so splendid on her and would look splendid on any bride! It reminds me of a wedding with soft colors, candle lit lighting, and an air of romance. Couldn't you just imagine yourself at your spring wedding, dancing the night away in the arms of the man you love, under a sky of Edison lights after the sun sets... Camila Alves in Vivienne Westwood is simply stunning! So, of course, this gown as bridal attire would be perfect. For the bride who wants to show her personality with a bit of modern flair, this design would be perfect. This gown reminds me of a wedding hosted in a secluded vineyard, where the wine's flowing, guests are laughing and having a splendid time, and you're the "Bella Sposa" of the evening! Okay, so I must admit that I did not know who Allison Williams was (yest I had to google her!) But I do know of Armani and this Armani Privé Couture makes me want to next big event happening in town and buy a ticket just so I can wear this gown! Love the color, love the beading, love the fabric, love the details...LOVE THIS DRESS! This gown would pair well with so many different wedding styles and designs. I'm not sure if there need to be any words for Laura Dern in her simply elegant Calvin Klein by Appointment gown. Seriously, just drop the mic and walk away! This gown in your seaside nuptials. This gown in your chic and elegant garden ceremony. This gown at your stylish reception at the museum surrounded by art and flair. The list could go on and on. These were five of my top favorites from the Oscars and can easily be used to inspire a bride and her dress shopping endeavors! Are you going through the dress shopping process?
